Communication beyond a running instance
Long-lived collaboration should not require every agent instance to stay online. This work studies how administrative domains can maintain stable addresses and receive messages on behalf of logical agents.
Domain-mediated architecture
ATP moves cross-domain transmission and message custody to domain servers. The sender signs the complete envelope; the receiving domain verifies and stores it for later retrieval by an execution instance.
- Stable communication entries survive offline periods and instance replacement.
- Saved envelopes support independent checks of source and integrity when verification keys remain trusted and obtainable.
- DNS discovery connects participating administrative domains.
Prototype and evaluation
The paper evaluates a prototype with a controlled cross-organization LLM-agent workflow, mechanism checks, and latency measurements. It examines continued processing after offline periods or instance migration, saved-message verification, and the overhead of domain mediation.
